AWARDS, PUBLICATIONS, & EXHIBITIONS

WW won an international competition for the San Jose State University Museum of Art & Design and a national competition for the St. Francis High School Arts and Athletics Building. The SJSU Museum was awarded a Progressive Architecture Citation. The X House was given an "Unbuilt House" award by Architectural Record.

The work of WW, Sarah Whiting, and Ron Witte has been published in journals throughout the world, including The New York Times, Washington Post, Log, Hunch, Scroope, Harvard Design Magazine, Architecture Magazine, Dialogue, Architectural Design Profiles, and Polygraph. Whiting and Witte have also written numerous essays included in books such as Mies in America: Six Authors in Search of an Architect and An Architecture for All Senses: The Work of Eileen Gray. As editors and authors, Whiting and Witte have over seen the production of books including Toyo Ito: Sendai Mediatheque, and Differences, The Topography of Contemporary Architecture. Whiting is currently writing a book on Chicago’s Near South Side.

Our work has been exhibited in several solo exhibitions, among them exhibits at UCLA, the Rhode Island School of Design, and the International Center for Reflection on the Future in France. We have also participated in numerous group exhibitions including exhibits at the Museum of Modern Art in New York, Harvard University, the National Building Museum in Washington, DC, the Graham Foundation in Chicago, and the San Francisco Museum of Modern Art.
